Wee Ones Children's Magazine is an online magazine for ages 4 to 10. It includes illustrated stories, nonfiction, poems, activities, puzzle pages, and crafts in every issue.

America Writes for Kids lets kids click on any state to view links to their favorite authors, in addition to suggestions of great books.

Kidthing lets children, ages 2 to 8, use the Internet in a safe way to "have fun learning, sharing, and getting to know the world around them." Kids can interact with content contributed by leading publishers, writers, and game developers. You can download and personalize it for your child.

Lookybook gives children and their families the chance to see and read an entire picture book online and talk about it together; you can buy books or read them online as often as you wish.

The Literacy Site allows you, with one click, to help put books into the hands of children. There is no cost to you; it's paid for by sponsors. Once there, you can click on more tabs to give in other areas, including hunger, breast cancer, and child health.

ProLiteracy America, a division of ProLiteracy Worldwide, is a nonprofit organization that champions the life-changing benefits of literacy for adults and their families. ProLiteracy provides training and local grants to support programs that combine literacy with economic self-reliance, health, education, peace, human rights, and environmental projects.

North East Digital Village is loaded with Connecticut news and authors. It's a fabulous resource for those living in the northeast.

The American Library Association (ALA) was founded in 1876 to provide library and information services that "enhance learning and ensure access to information to all." This site includes plenty of up-to-date articles and helpful links.
